Fantastico! - it's the New Prancing Horse
- Published on Jan 28th, 2010 by Adam MilleneuveFinally, F1 2010 is really beginning to take shape - the first big car launch, the new Ferrari. What do you reckon? Sure, it's still red and it still has the lovely (ahem) barcode graphic on the engine cover, but it's the sublte differences that decide whether a modern F1 car is thing of beauty or not. Check out the official shots below and let us know what you think!
Here's the unveiling as it happened... The front nose does look similar to Red Bull Racing's angular design in 2009.
Here's the new diffuser - oh no it isn't! Ferrari have covered their rear diffuser design..
More details:
- The car is called the F10
- it has been in development since spring 2009
- it's no surprise that it has one of those clever double difusers.
- The fuel tank is now double the size
- in accordance with FOTA's agreement, the car will not be running KERS

It's preeety cool I think!
Indeed, they've done a good job! Let's hope it goes as welll as it looks!
I know it's to do with the most efficient aero-package, but I don't like the Pinocchio shaped nose:

Launch video now added - it's a bit dull, but you get to see the new car
There's a lot of last year's Red Bull in the shape, though it doesn't fully adopt the 'lean-back' stance that the RB had. As with most of the new-rules cars, they look best head-on and awkward from all other angles.
I doubt it'll be the only Red Bull-alike that we see this year.
Ross Brawn has dropped hints that the Mercedes will resemble the RB5 more than the BGP001.
