Ferrari's New Clothes
- Published on Jan 21st, 2010 by Adam MilleneuveHere they are - the drivers of the legendary Ferrari team, all dressed up in their overalls for the 2010 season. Alonso appears to have a new/modified helmet and the team seem to have avoided using Santander's horrid luminous orange/red colour that we saw on the McLaren overalls and liveries for the last couple of years. All in all, these look pretty smart.
Geek Fact: Ferrari have followed Red Bull's example and now have 'printed' overalls for their drivers, rather than the more traditional embroidered. This saves around 70-100grams for the drivers and therefore gives the car designers a little extra to play with. Clever eh!?

What do you mean "Santander’s horrid luminous orange/red colour that we saw on the McLaren overalls and liveries for the last couple of years." ?!
It's one of the most fantastic liveries ever thought of...
true... ish but the santander logo with the luminous orange/red would have looked awful on ared ferrari!
That looks more like Fernando's old helmet scheme to me; the one he won 2 titles with. I'm sure this had something to do with the revert.
07/08 overalls were much nicer. quilted, with no silly stripes everywhere.

You're right Steve, but with everyone's going to be looking at what Red Bull did in '09 and thinking 'what a clever idea' and following suit (no pun intended).
It's a shame but I won't be surprised if all teams have printed (aka lightweight) overalls in 2010
