Crikey! - The new Lotus F1 car (new video & images)
- Published on Feb 12th, 2010 by Tess Tarossa
It's a name that's full of history and is as prestigious as Ferrari (in a sense at least) - and more importantly, it's back in Formula One, albeit the badge on a team funded by Malaysia, we're not complaining, it looks pretty and it's great to have the name back in Grand Prix.
Let's hope team principal Tony Fernandes' hype turns into reality and they are at least a little bit competitive...
Here's the new car - what do you reckon - like the retro look?
See the video below, for the actual unveiling, as it happened:

Two of Badger's staff were at the launch, so expect a full report on "what it's really like at an F1 launch" soon. You can follow our Editor at the launch on twitter here and also follow Ciaran Buttonham's tweets here.

Wow, just wow.
As with all of this year's cars, i don't like the nose shape forward of the wheels, but definately classiest paintjob of the lot!
It's really cool to see those colours on a current F1 car. There is something special about that green and yellow livery without a doubt.
It's a Lotus, it's an F1 car - say no more
Goto to the Lotus F1 website & watch the shakedown video, looks awesome on the track
BRG - classic, beautiful look. Not the sexiest car of 2010, but certainly the most Gentleman appeal.
By far the best livery of the year. By far the least impressive driver lineup of the year.
There is a good driver in Heikki somewhere, he just wandered off in 2009. Hopefully Mike's coaxed him back again with some biscuits or something.
