To the Streets! Monaco GP TV Times

- Published on May 11th, 2010 by Adam Milleneuve

It's the grand prix that even the casual fans will be sure to tune into - the hugely prestigious Grand Prix de Monte Carlo where every driver wants to win and all the greats have.  Now, if you've managed to miss all the talk of it already, Badger is having a little event here in London town, where you're all invited to come down and watch the Monaco Grand Prix LIVE in London with Badger and other other grand prix fans.  More details here: Monaco LIVE in London - but if, for whatever reason you cannot make it to our event, here are the times to be in front of the telly box - note that Practice 1 and Practice 2 are on Thursday, not Friday!

Main events:

  • Qualifying: Saturday 1pm - 2pm on BBC1, online, red button and radio (coverage to begin around midday)
  • Grand Prix: Sunday 1pm onwards on BBC1, online, red button and radio (coverage to begin around midday)

For the more serious fanatics:

  • Practice 1: Thursday 9am - 1030am on red button, online and radio
  • Practice 2: Thursday 1pm - 2.30pm on red button, online and radio
  • Practice 3: Saturday 10am - 11am on red button, online and radio

Monaco has always had its practice sessions on thursday so they can open the streets to the public again on the friday.

I thought it was just a tradition that they missed Friday, I don't think the streets are opened. The GP2 feature race is on Friday so I wouldn't fancy driving around the place.

There were some rather smart F1 cars from the 1970's sliding the rear end out on track last week, during the historic event. See in this clip also, the chunky bollards at the Nouvelle Chicane! They've put some after the swimming pool too.
