Japanese Qualifying to run on Sunday morning
- Published on Oct 9th, 2010 by Adam MilleneuveDue to excessive rain, qualifying for the Japanese Grand Prix has been postponed until Sunday morning, ahead of the race itself. The session was delayed repeatedly until light conditions deteriorated with no sign of the rain letting up.

This means that we're in for the rare treat of qualifying and race on the same day - as if we needed any more drama in this weekend's grand prix.
Updated TV Times:
- Qualifying to run at 10am Japan time - 2am UK time on Sunday (Confirmed by the FIA)
- Race to run as scheduled, just six hours later at 7am UK time (coverage from 6ish)
The Fantasy Grand Prix game will reopen for any changes to predictions and teams and be locked again ahead of qualifying starting. On a side note, Badger would like to congratulate Lee McKenzie on a doing a great job heading up the BBC coverage - complete nightmare of a first day.

Brilliant qualifying, Alguersuari on Pole!
oh no wait, that's just alphabetical order
I thought the boys (EJ and DC) seemed a little awkward at first talking to the pretty lady instead of Jake, both fluffing their lines right at the start, like teenagers at a school disco... Sweet really.
So why exactly was Lee McKenzie standing in for Jake? Anyone know?
Jake is at the commonwealth games in Delhi
Glad about this - I completely forgot to do my Fantasy F1 predictions for this weekend.
Lucky boy! The game will close at midnight tonight (UK time)
Brilliant!
More bad news for your lad: http://www.f1badger.com/2010/10/hamilton-to-drop-five-places/
I really really hope I'm wrong, but I think Hamilton's chances at this year's championship are now all but sunk. No pun intended.
On the other hand, if Alonso and Webber both fail to finish - unlikely but I can hope! - he's still in it so long as he gets at least 10 points.
Love the Michael Fish photo!
And I completely agree Badger - I thought Lee McKenzie did a great job. How exciting - qualifying at 2am and race at 7am - what to do, what to do..... stay up all night - or grab cat-naps here and there?!
It's a tricky one, Badger will going for the naps option and move the espresso machine into the lounge
- and yes we love retro pictures, Fish is always a classic, in every era! - have you seen the ITV presenter Dickie Davis in 1976 here: http://www.f1badger.com/2010/10/badgers-grand-prix-flashback-1976/ - great stuff!
