Dates for your Diary - The 2011 season and Winter Testing

- Published on Nov 3rd, 2010 by Adam Milleneuve

There was World Motorsports Council meeting held today and one of the outcomes was the final agreed 2011 Formula One calendar and as mentioned it does indeed have a whopping 20 races, including the all-new Indian Grand Prix.  In full, here are the dates for next year's season (both China and India are subject to official approval):

  • 13th March - Bahrain
  • 27th March - Australia
  • 10th April - Malaysia
  • 17th April - China*
  • 08th May - Turkey
  • 22nd May - Spain
  • 29th May - Monaco
  • 12th June - Canada
  • 26th June - Europe
  • 10th July - Great Britain
  • 24th July - Germany
  • 31st July - Hungary
  • 28th August - Belgium
  • 11th September - Italy
  • 25th September - Singapore
  • 9th October - Japan
  • 16th October - Korea
  • 30th October - India*
  • 13th November - Abu Dhabi
  • 27th November - Brazil

It's great to have Brazil back as the last race, especially if the title fight goes down to the wire again and there are good number of back-back races too - sadly for F1 fans, the summer break remains, nearly being the entire month of August...

As well as the 2011 season dates, you'll be pleased to hear that after the 2010 Abu Dhabi GP, you wont have to wait until March 13th 2011 for your F1 fix, because there are few test sessions over the winter, namely:

  • November 16-17, 2010 Young Driver Test: Yas Marina, Abu Dhabi
  • November 19-20, 2010 Pirelli Tyre Test: Yas Marina, Abu Dhabi
  • February 1-3, 2011 Circuit Ricardo Tormo, Valencia, Spain
  • February 10-13, 2011 Jerez, Spain
  • February 18-21, 2011 Circuit de Catalunya, Barcelona, Spain
  • March 3-6, 2011 Bahrain International Circuit, Bahrain

And here at Badger will be doing our utmost to bring you coverage of all the winter testing, direct to your desktop.
