'F1 Badger' to become 'Badger GP'

- Published on Nov 4th, 2010 by Adam Milleneuve

A Badger never changes it's stripes, but it does get older and wiser as time passes by and those eagle-eyed amongst you will have noticed that the Badger header image has changed from F1 Badger to Badger GP, with the addition of the Poppy to show our support for the Royal Legion.

Why the change?  It's simply just remain on the side of caution - everyone knows all too well that FOM (Formula One Management) are very hot on copyright and usage of the 'F1' trademark and what with Badger's plans for 2011 and beyond, we're just wanting to avoid any potential difficulties coming via a certain gentleman's henchmen.

Plans? Yep, well they say a man without a plan, isn't a man - well, we're 'the Badger' and in fitting with the fine example of British wildlife, with which we associate ourselves, we're planning ahead and have loads of really exciting ideas brewing here in 'the Sett' getting ready for going live early next year.

Over the course of the next few months we'll be moving to a new home at BadgerGP.com and updating everything else that goes with changing a name in the modern world of t'interwebness.

Well a name is just a name. Will continue reading no matter what you change the name too.
All the best with the site move and see you on Sunday :)

The name is one thing but the quality of the site is the most important thing.

Whatever the name is, you guys are awesome.

Would GP Badger not have been better? Or does that sound too much like the name of a doctor!? Probably not as effective as the old title but I guess it can't be helped.

As TommyB said a name is just a name - what you do is more important.

Well, I could tell a tale from "days of old" of meeting a certain young, innocent man who enthused SO MUCH about badgers, that he made it into my phone as Adam Badger (and still is!) ..
...don't know if that's related..?
How are the cookies coming along?? ;-)

Adam's making cookies? Get in! He'd better bring them on Sunday. They should be badger shaped.

????

Did Enzo Ferrari initially consider a badger for the cars , rather than a prancing horse?
