Put your questions to the BBC Sport F1 Crew!
by The Badger on Feb 8th, 2011
Badger has kindly been invited to BBC Television Centre for a meeting on Wednesday with everyone's favourite anchorman and his motley crew - i.e. Jake Humphrey, David Coulthard, Martin Brundle, Ted Kravitz, and Lee McKenzie (some of the 5 Live F1 team will be there too!)
We'll be hearing more about the plans for the beeb's coverage of the 2011 season, how the new setup will work, as well as learning more about their lives working as part of the F1 circus (and having some of the best jobs in the world if you ask any F1 fan!)
Of course, we'd also like to know what questions you all have for the team - if you have a question, let us know in the comments below or via Twitter and given half a chance we'll ask it for you and report back in our write up.

Comments and Discussion
- Now that coverage will be in HD, will EJ be adjusting his attire or hair in any way?
- How will DC avoid MB asking the questions in the commentary box and answering them himself?
- Does EJ think Schumi will fare any better this season (provided MS does actually start in Bahrain, contrary to EJ's predictions during 2010)?
- What does the team make of both Button and Vettel now doing Head & Shoulders commercials? Do all F1 drivers suffer from chronic dandruff?
What's your opinions on drivers taking part in other motorsports during the off season ? and DC, what do you think of Paul Di Resta ?
What effect do you see the recent accident of Robert Kubica, will have on the ;
1 Development of Renaults new Car?
2 Who will be the choice to replace Him while he recovers?
3 What effect will this have on "Of season" activities for Drivers?
When it's the early races, who's the grumpiest and needs the most coffee and time to wake up in the mornings? And do any of you suffer from jetlag? x
Jake, will you wear a Norwich shirt on one of the shows if they make the play-offs ?
I have a couple of funny ones, and a couple of more relevant ones:
Relevant:
-Seeing as Kubica's replacement has stirred a healthy debate between experience and "rookie-ness" of available drivers, what does EJ think would be the best replacement (not who, but what sort of previous experience) and what sort of driver would he have chosen for his team. Considering Renault already have a semi-rookie as their other driver, would it be best to look for a driver who is already "set in his ways" when driving?
-What does MB think of teams working on a new upgrade which "is against the spirit of the regulations", but legal? Should it be encouraged (for the enjoyment of engineers), or should it be harsher penalized? Especially considering how effective the f-duct was (and the innability teams had to adapt a design to their own cars).
-As an engineer, I quite enjoy the build-up to races, and the explanation of technical aspects of cars. I was wondering if there are a couple already planned for the shows. I was also wondering if a set could be made for the simulators drivers have been complaining about lately. Obviously it will depend on a very kind team to let you in, but even if just a chat with one of the engineers in charge.
Funny:
-Could they please have a camera-man stand OUTside of the pool when filming in a boat? I mean, feel sorry for the poor lad, litterally getting cold feet about his job.
-To JH: who is easier to work with? these lads or the yanks you were with on the weekend? Also, which set tends to be more excitable with something general happens in the event?
You could ask them who has taken part in the Yellow Shades Project, and who they think would suit a pair of neon yellow sunglasses the most. My money is on Eddie, as I think he could pull off anything when it comes to fashion.
If you could be any driver in history (other than yourself Martin and David), who would you be and WHY? Let's see who says Moss first, who says Fangio, who says Schumacher and who says Jim Clark
When will dc and ej join th rest of the team on twitter?
To all: what's your favourite type of pie?
To DC: Which would you choose;driving at F1 or working with Eddie & Jake at BBC,In terms of fun?
To Jake: How old are you, really?
To Eddie: Which team will surprise us this year,in good or bad way?
