Hispania reveal first shots of 2011 racer
by Jack Lamure on Feb 8th, 2011F1 tailenders Hispania have released the first shots of their new-for-2011 racer, the F111, which they hope will allow them to escape the back row of the world's Formula One grids.
Unlike last year's Dallara-built machine the new car has been developed by Hispania's own engineers and designers under the technical leadership of Geoff Willis and chief designer Paul White. Narain Karthikeyan is signed to drive but a team-mate for the Indian returnee is yet to be confirmed.
We reckon the livery on the new car is rather striking, if a little similar to the Lukcy Strike sponsored BARs of the mid-2000s. However with the logos on the sidepods reading 'this could be you' don't be all that surprised if the colour scheme changes if and when new backers are found.

loving the new livery hope it doesnt change. looks so much better than last year.
Perhaps it could be a black and white striped F1Badger sponsored livery?
Really hope they get away from the black of last year, that car looked so uninspiring.
The new livery does a good job of disguising the fact it's the same shape as last year's dog ahem car
I reckon Badger should offer them £50 to have 'BadgerGP' on the sidepods - you never know!
New front wing, new rear wing, new engine cover. The middle bit's the same as last year though!
And you're right, it does look a lot like the BAR from 03/04, though my first thought when i looked at it was of a training shoe!
The jury's out though as to which cars will fill the back row, it's not a foregone conclusion that it will be Hispania, but as with all lower-budget teams they can't put the talent into the car and have to settle for pay drivers. No disrespect to Karthikeyan, but he didn't set the world on fire in 2005 and he wouldn't have the drive this year if he wasn't paying for it.

It actually looks amazing, shame we will never see it on tv or when only when its being lapped.
I like it a lot. Lets just hope they can actually produce a real car as opposed to just a picture of one. Good luck to them.
Great colour scheme that is ruined by the words "your logo here", "this is a cool spot" and "this could be you". I smell desperation.....
