Williams' Gorgeous Interim Livery
by The Badger on Feb 1st, 2011For the last god knows how many years, when it comes around to the first of the pre-season tests, the Williams team are present, only in an 'interim' livery - you'd be forgiven for thinking that Williams have forgotten to pay their design teams' budget or something. But then you see the livery and my, they've done it again - plain dark blue and this year's incarnation is just plain beautiful. Complete with retro numbers on the sidepods, Badger is not alone in wishing the final livery would be as simple and great to look at...

Blue is indeed beautiful - v.reminiscent of the Tyrell Elf - Ford 1974

I disagree. The colour is awful, and I am amazed that some of these racing teams, don't consider how the colour and , more inportantly, the sponsors details will appear either in the printed media , internet, or, on TV.
Those dark colurs never reproduce well, and if you want to see how its done properly, look no further than McLaren or Ferrari.
Sure, I see that the white lettering does stand out, but, a dark car on a dark track just is awful.
