Touched for the very first time! The MVR-02 Unveiled
by Adam Milleneuve on Feb 7th, 2011The 'new' team that reached out to F1 fans across the world in a whole new way, have proudly unveiled their new machine, which will be piloted by Timo Glock and Jerome D'Ambrosio in the 2011 Championship. Being great that they are with the fans, 50 of them were at the launch, including 10 Badger GP competition winners - how nice is that!?
So, without any further ado, here's the new motor in all it's glory:

looks very simple still..
simple is beautiful, no!?
Shame they've given up the tribal-style swirls that made last year's livery look so good. On a scale from "Ugh" to "Wow", I would give this car a "Meh".
Looks aerodynamically challenged, underdeveloped and like its not going to fair any better than the last car did. Don't think we'll be discussing the positioning of the exhausts on this baby do you? :-\
Car looks great, but the colour scheme is a bit of a letdown

I think Nick Wirth needs to update his CAD drivers. Since no one else has copied his nose design for this year, it means it doesn't work as well as the flat-high nose that everyone else has.
Perhaps a wind tunnel run would make this clearer.
I wouldn't criticise them for evolving last years design, since that's what 50% of the other teams have done. The car's pace will be irrelevant though, they haven't changed their hydraulics supplier from last year (as far as i know) and unless the the company have made dramatic improvements to their system, we're likely to see this car most parked in the garage going nowhere due to yet another hydraulics problem.
Paintjob's nice though!
Funny you should say that, Wirth answered my question of how much of the 2010 car was carried across to this one, and he pretty much talked himself into a corner. He said that mechanically it's the same but refined, with aerodynamic improvements.
It just looks the same. If it goes the same, then they are in serious trouble.
Am I the only one who actually likes the way it looks?
looks like they need a windtunnel. The lotus looks like a proper contemporary F1 car. I'm interested to see who has penned the HRT, and wether their aero looks like it has been done in a windtunnel or not....
Whoops, posted this on the end of the wrong story
The new Virgin, on holiday in australia: http://twitpic.com/3xmbya
If you mocked the Mercedes instead of the Virgin in that pic you wouldn't be far off at all.
