11 Victories in 2011 - Sebastian Vettel Wins in India

- Published on Oct 30th, 2011 by Adam Milleneuve

It may not have been a thrill-a-minute grand prix, but Sebastian Vettel most certainly enjoyed it with his 11 victory of the season in the bag following a flawless drive from pole to chequered flag, picking up the fastest lap on the last lap too.  Untouchable.

Elsewhere, Lewis and Felipe collided again, Felipe took the blame and penalty for turning in on Lewis when he knew the McLaren was there.  Probably won't be the last we hear of it though.

Webber was beaten by Button and Alonso, missing out on the podium in 4th.  Button had the pace to take 2nd on the opening lap, but not enough pace to keep tabs on the victorious Vettel.

Schumacher did very well, picking up 5th place, and with Rosberg in 6th - that will put Mercedes GP comfortably ahead in 4th for the constructors championship.

Toro Rosso were on the pace and taking the fight to Renault and Force India for 5th in the constructors championship.  Sadly Buemi's car failed, but Alguersuari brought his motor home in a solid 8th place.  Vijay Mallya will take some pleasure having one of his Force Indias in the top 10, with Sutil finishing 9th ahead of Perez.

Reverend Frog

As dull as ditchwater. Even Vettel didn't sound as enthused as usual when he crossed the line. his routinely exhilarated whoop was more of a hum this time round
