Podium or Pits? It’s Grand Prix POP!

Podium or Pits is Badger’s weekly guide to what’s hot and what’s not in Formula One. Stay tuned for all matters F1 including a Grand Prix logo, Olympic F1, Flavio in trouble?, Tamara’s back on the market and Jenson’s travails in Harrogate…
It must be happening – they have a logo – The team in charge of the Grand Prix of the Americas – the proposed race in sight of the New York skyline – have clearly been hard at work.
So hard at work in fact that they’ve knocked up a logo. It’s a bit dull in our opinion, but according to the designer it lines up exactly with The Statue of Liberty, which is nice.
Still don’t think this is going to happen – The saga of the London Grand Prix rolls on and, this time, it’s got an added Olympic frisson.
Apparently there is a plan in someone somewhere’s mind that the Olympic Park could be used to host some aspect of a race, if not all of it.
A bit old, but not a surprise – Flavio, Flavio, Flavio, what have you (allegedly) been up to?
Woman who is single goes for dinner with sister and husband – BREAKING NEWS! STOP THE PRESSES! THERE IS AN EXTRAORDINARY AMOUNT OF NEWS RIGHT HERE IN THIS STORY!
None of the above statements are in fact true, but they go some way to emphasising the way The Daily Mail would have you feel about Tamara Ecclestone going out for dinner with her sister Petra and brother-in-law James Stunt.
This is in no way ideal – Poor Jenson Button – his restaurant in Harrogate (yes, us too) has closed fairly soon after opening.
It just goes to show that while you may be a fantastically successful racing driver, jet setting all over the world and with a fantastically attractive girlfriend, you probably won’t be able to run a successful restaurant in Harrogate.
