F1 Testing: Barcelona Day 1

Day 1 of F1 testing in Barcelona began with the unveiling of the new Williams F1 car for 2013, and it looks good – quite a striking design – see more of it here.
Further up the pit lane, Ferrari had Alonso back in the garage, along with some chaps in suits as they announced their new deal with UPS.
As soon as the clock struck nine, cars headed out for the first of four days running here at the Catalunya circuit. The drivers running for day one are Perez, Rosberg, Di Resta, Ricciardo, Alonso, Vettel, Maldonado, Pic, Raikkonen, Chilton and Gutierrez.
Here’s a selection of photos from the Williams and Ferrari gatherings and the cars out on track.

Why are Ferrari trying to make their car look like a Marussia??? Whatever happened to ‘blood red’???

It is very different this year, but we think it works. Agree that the classic blood red would be even nicer, especially without sponsors!

I loved the cherry metallic from 2007 and 2008
