Can someone just clarify for us – did Fernando Alonso, the most consistent driver on the grid with a racecraft like a force of nature, make an enforced error?
It’s hard to believe after his exploits of 2012. When the sparks started to fly after a bit of fisticuffs with a Red Bull diffuser, the entire Sett thought “He’ll be in straight away, shouldn’t cost him too much time.”. We even thought “He might even bolt some slicks on here.”. Yet, he stayed out – to his cost.
Alonso has built an incredible reputation for making savvy decisions that pay off exponentially, but in Malaysia it didn’t quite work. Has his magic waned? Don’t bet on it.
