Octane Photos have been roaming the land again this weekend, gathering shots from the Race Retro show that was held at Stoneleigh near Coventry. There were a host of old school F1 cars in attendance from the likes of Ferrari, Lotus, Jaguar and Simtek, among them a pair of Jody Scheckter machines (specifically a Ferrari 312T4 and a Wolf WR1) and Steve Griffiths’ Lotus 101, back from a rebuild after being pitched into the wall at last year’s Goodwood Festival by a suspected rear-wishbone failure.

The show also featured a varied collection of Jaguars assembled to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the company’s E-type model and historic racing cars from disciplines as wide ranging as rally and Gp.C sports cars.

A host of classic racing car shots – what more you could you ask on a Sunday evening?
