This weekend sees the travelling circus that is F1 move to the next stop on its calendar, Singapore, and we get to see the cars dazzle under the lights of the 5.065km Marina Bay Street Circuit. It’s also the next location where we see the annual Amber Lounge experience on the calendar too, and their regular Drivers Fashion show on Saturday 17th September will surely be one of the social highlights of the race weekend.
American songstress Kelis has been announced as headlining the weekend’s events, and is looking forward to it: “It’s good to be back in Singapore where the music scene is vibrant and interactive, definitely fun to perform to! Amber Lounge is known worldwide as the Grand Prix party to attend and I can’t wait to get the crowd up on their feet, dancing the night away!”
Kelis will open the Saturday fashion show, which will feature F1 drivers alongside international models, outfitted by Malaysian and Indonesian fashion duo Sean & Sheila. The evening continues with the launch of Extravaganza – entertainment including live shows by club dancers, a saxophonist and drummers, alongside one of Asia’s top DJ’s, DJ Ono, and a bevy of international DJ’s from Ibiza, Monte Carlo and the USA.
On Sunday 18th September, they get to do it all again as Kelis and co will perform for Guests as they rub shoulders with the drivers, celebrities and VIP’s at the after race party, with a surprise act yet to be announced.
Amber Lounge is partnering with some amazing luxury brands over the Singapore weekend. Guests will be able to customise their own ice creams at the Magnum Pleasure Bar, and sip exclusive Johnnie Walker signature cocktails whilst viewing the ultimate super sports car, the Bugatti Chiron.
