Here’s a photo-special looking over the motor racing career of that young chap, Sebastian Vettel.  Like many, he came through karting and other junior formulae before getting his big chance with BMW Sauber and then Toro Rosso, where he earned himself a place at the Red Bull Racing team. This collection of 22 photographs show his amazingly rapid rise through the ranks to become the youngest ever double world champion in Formula 1 history.

As well as winning the last two titles, and in 2011 crushing the competition entirely, you can’t help but like the guy.  Yes he’s in the best car, won a stupid amount of races this year and it’s fair to call him greedy for pole positions too, but he’s still almost universally popular with the fans – unlike his previous all-dominating countryman.

To top off this mini-celebratory piece on the man who’s set to break all the records in the sport, here’s the clip of him mimicking the soon-to-be-back-in-F1 Kimi Raikkonen.  Hilarious, yet nice at the same time.  Seb, the Badger salutes you.
