After months of preparation, the time has come for us to pack up and head to Silverstone for the start of ‘ride2spa’ where Badger’s editor is joining 21 other Formula 1 fans and cycling 400 miles in 4 days from the home of the British Grand Prix across England, France and Belgium to Spa.

After a lap of the legendary British circuit, we’ll be off towards Dover and all being well arrive at Spa on Thursday evening after cycling 100 miles a day for 4 days straight, raising £20,000 for 5 very worthy charities – MS Trust, Cancer Research, Mind, Birmingham Children’s Hospice and Ronald McDonald House childrens charities.  You can read this newspaper article about how ride2spa came to be and the motivation behind it.

You can track the team’s progress live here on BadgerGP.com via this funky live tracking map (for as long as one us has juice left in our iPhone anyway).  ride2spa – live tracking.  And of course, if you can donate to the cause, that would be fantastic – every penny counts and it only takes 2 minutes, – go here to donate – thank you!

You can see the route below, if you’re near the route – come and cheer us on!  (more detailed map can be found here) and keep an eye on Twitter at both @BadgerGP and @ride2spa and the #ride2spa hashtag – we’ll be posting updates and images as we progress through the tour.

Wish us luck!
