F1 tailenders Hispania have released the first shots of their new-for-2011 racer, the F111, which they hope will allow them to escape the back row of the world’s Formula One grids.
Unlike last year’s Dallara-built machine the new car has been developed by Hispania’s own engineers and designers under the technical leadership of Geoff Willis and chief designer Paul White. Narain Karthikeyan is signed to drive but a team-mate for the Indian returnee is yet to be confirmed.
We reckon the livery on the new car is rather striking, if a little similar to the Lukcy Strike sponsored BARs of the mid-2000s. However with the logos on the sidepods reading ‘this could be you’ don’t be all that surprised if the colour scheme changes if and when new backers are found.
