We like to keep an eye on F1 merchandise and other related goodies and this week, the Ferrari store caught our attention with their new spring/summer collection which includes some Ferrari loafers, or as we like to refer to them – LOAFERrraris.  They’ve definitely missed a trick there.  Here’s some pics, but read on for the rather hilarious description…

The store description reads:

The distinctive style and great added value of Made in Italy are the reading keys for the Tod’s Ferrari Gommino Collection. The unmistakable moccasin, in suede version, in contrasts with the lining and rubber sole in the iconic red colour, is embellished by the toe cap and leather details that confer a sporty and neat look.

The collaboration between Tod’s and Ferrari, perfect union between luxury trademarks symbol of Made in Italy, renowned and appreciated worldwide, continues with the new collection proposed for the 2013 Spring/Summer season. The elegant lines are inspired to the ICONIC DETAILS OF FERRARI VEHICLES of any age and they are thought to EXALT THE PILOT’S SOUL within any driver.

Seriously?  Like many, I love Ferrari and yes it is one of the biggest brands in the world, but around £400 for a pair of loafers that come with soul exalting qualities is just taking the mic.   The shoes are made by “Tod’s” and the non-Ferrari ones are around £200, so that’s nearly double to have a prancing horse and red bobbles (technical term) on the sole.
