Introducing Olly Tingey – the 2012 Fantasy GP Champion.  He managed to fend off over 2000 other F1 fans to claim the much coveted Badger GP Trophy Mug and Amazon vouchers to treat himself.

We asked Olly to tell us a bit about himself and how he managed to take on one of F1’s most unpredictable seasons…

I’m a 31 year old petrol head from Glasgow and have two people who I know I have to thank for my victory.  Firstly my old man. Without his love of all things F1 (he has been to his fair share “when it was proper racing” and even driven at Interlagos, the cheeky rascal!) and his ritual take over of the TV of a Sunday, then the chances are that I would not have been sucked into a world that I now cannot imagine living without.

Secondly my new friend and work colleague Jay, without whom I would not have known about Badger GP or even participated on the Fantasy League.

It’s been a year of firsts; my first visit to a Grand Prix with a trip to Spa and a seat at Eau Rouge and a quite remarkable blag into the paddock – an amazing weekend, a first trip, drive and crash to the Nurburgring and a first dip of the toe in Fantasy F1. All-in-all a good year for the petrol loving side of my life, plus of course the phenomenal return of Kimi, with all his interview/radio/off track hilarity – a pure gem!

And here’s how he and his team “Eau No Rouge” did it…
