The F1 circus was introduced to a new concept at the German Grand Prix and for once it was nothing to do with radio transmissions/tyres/track limits/whichever topic is hot at the moment. This weekend we learned about… Shoeys. The Australian tradition of drinking booze from a shoe, often with a healthy dose of “foot juice”.
Not all on the podium were too taken with the idea but I for one hope to see this incorporated in the Melbourne 2017 celebrations. After all, it’s no sillier than Pirelli’s novelty hat phase…
