Here at the Sett we enjoy making new friends, and now it’s that time of year where its good to say a big thank you those people who have gone the extra mile and been really good to us at Badger GP.  There are many such people, but today we’d like to focus on one – Retro Formula 1.

Headless man, good tshirt though.

Any avid reader of the site will have picked up on our fondness for the days of yesteryear, when men were men and cars were built to go quickly and race to the end, minus the politics and ridiculous media furore.  OK, there’s a severe case of rose tinted spectacles going on there, but one thing is for sure – some of the teams, brands and general ‘look’ of those glory days have so much more glamour and finish than the modern F1 corporate style (if you can call it that).

Will I wear a tshirt with a massive logo of a mobile telecommunications company on it?  No, I won’t. And that’s not even taking into account their financial affairs with those folk at the HM Revenue.

I digress. So, yes it’s a fact that old stuff is cool and you can imagine our delight when it became clear that it’s not just us – there are others too.

Thank you, Retro Formula 1.  Your range of team shirts is somewhat epic, and you keep producing new stuff (how curious; is it possible to produce new old stuff?). Your reproductions of classic Grand Prix posters hang proudly in the Sett and we love the teams you’ve picked too.  Did you use to like Jordan?  Fancy some of that distinctive yellow teamwear?  Retro F1 have the full range. Amazing.

I’ll stop gushing now, because quite frankly I’ve yet to find a time machine to take me back to 1976 and before, so instead here at Badger we made friends with Retro F1. We had a whole range of prizes supplied by them at our Badger GP Bashes – and it turns out they like us too!

Because they like us so much, and they’re in a festive mood (who isn’t?) they’ve provided us with a 10% discount code to share with all of you!  Retro Formula 1 products make the perfect present for anyone with a passion for F1 as they range from Cosworth to Murray Walker, Jackie Stewart, Hesketh, Shadow and heaps of other T Shirt designs.  There’s also the range of remastered, Grand Prix posters.
