It’s the week before the British GP and the teams and sponsors are busy with plenty of promo work. On Tuesday, Martini, title sponsors of Williams, started tweeting about a mysterious London event. A few tweets later, the secret location was sent to anyone interested, they were going to be a Bar Kick for a table football tournament and fans were invited.

Any initial concerns about numbers were soon put to rest, as it was definitely an exclusive group of fans that turned up. Probably something to do with it being in the middle of the day in Shoreditch! They were ready for us though, with specially concocted Martini Cocktails all lined up.

Simon Lazenby from Sky was there to host and after a brief intro, Felipe Massa and Valtteri Bottas got down to the main event – Finland vs Brazil at table football. Finland (Bottas) took an early lead but were soon overwhelmed by the skill of Brazil (Massa), who ended winning with the score of 10-2. In the post match interview, both captains expressed their admiration for their team of tiny plastic men and promised to continue to work on the squad skills.

Next, the tournament opened up and everyone could put their name down to play the team drivers, an open invite to interact and have some fun. And fun it was, thanks to Martini and Williams F1 for providing this rare opportunity
