Sebastian Vettel
The first race after winning his fourth World Championship you could expect Vettel to take it easy, sit back and have a rest. Well, that’s exactly what he did, if taking off from the first corner, building an impressive lead and just sitting there in front taking it easy!
So all the racing was behind the leader, with some impressive drives and moments in an otherwise fairly staid race. Grosjean continues to impress, with a solid, no nonsense drive from 6th to fourth. Alonso avoiding an accident with Vergne with an off-track excursion across the kerbs was pretty impressive, even if it did end up with him in hospital for checks after triggering the g-force warning fro a 25g landing. And Paul di Resta managed a one-stop strategy to get into the points again, keeping off Hamilton for the latter part of the race to finish 6th.
But the Top Dog has to be Vettel. Not for his superb drive to the finish, but for the donuts he performed on his way back round the track, entertaining the crowd and the TV audience and this time remembering to take the car straight back to Parc Ferme to avoid any further fines. We all like donuts!
Remember, the Brazil Badgerbash this year has FREE Donuts (but not performed by Vettel), so book your ticket and come along.
