Lotus’ ‘number 2’ driver had the start that was the envy of everyone else as he lead into turn 1 from his 4th place grid slot. His lead lasted well into the race until the pit stops. This a Lotus keeping Red Bull at bay, now that’s impressive.
What’s more impressive is how Romain has turned his image around from ‘first lap nutcase’ to becoming the lead driver at Lotus with a solid run of performances in 2013 where he’s even given Kimi a run for his money (maybe we shouldn’t mention money) at times too. He’s always been a favourite at the Sett and we felt for him with some of flack he received from some questionable manoeuvres.
Well done Romain Grosjean – you’re Badger’s TOP DOG for the 2013 Japanese Grand Prix.
Oh and and we also have to give a wee mention to Esteban Gutierrez who’s finally looking like a proper F1 rookie… if he keeps it up, an accolade such as this may be his one day.
