This only applies to UK based fans really

Not only is the Australian Grand Prix on at a slightly inconvenient time on Sunday, but the clocks rather inconveniently change too, so if like Badger, you’re in the UK, it’s going to take a bit of effort to figure out when it’s all happening down under this weekend on the telly box.  Firstly, remember than the clocks go forward one hour on Sunday.

So here goes:

If you’re a hardcore fanatic, then the practice sessions are shown on BBC Red Button and via the their website at these times:

  • Friday Practice 1 – 01.30 – 03.00 (that’s in the morning folks)
  • Friday Practice 2 – 05.30 – 07.00 (ideal before work viewing?)
  • Saturday Practice 3 – 03.00 – 04.00 (bloomin’ early for a Saturday)

And then it the main show for the all important qualifying and then the big race at these times:

  • Saturday – Qualifying : 6am
  • Sunday – Grand Prix: 7am

Of course the actual telly box coverage will begin around 45-60mins prior to the start of qualifying and the race so make sure you tune in to the BBC’s superb coverage.
